Mark started his career as a fund manager, running mutual funds, charities and closed ended vehicles. He covered UK, and European equity markets, and always had a particular interest in asset allocation. Following an MBA, he worked as a management consultant with Coopers & Lybrand, before returning to the asset management industry. He has worked as marketing director at Henderson Global Investors and managed various asset management businesses. In 2003 he founded the successful investment boutique, Quantum Asset Management specialising in risk managed investments, quantitative control of risk, and commodities. Following the sale of that business, he has continued his involvement in the industry, offering consulting services to asset managers through Absolute Partners, holding a number of non-executive directorships on funds and an offshore fund administrator, and is an investment director of Arbor Ventures, an early stage growth investor.
